Review Blaze (Unbreakable Bonds Book 5) by Jocelynn Drake

The rings have been selected.
The champagne placed on ice.
The cake decorated.

And the pre-wedding sex is off the charts…

Lucas Vallois and Andrei Hadeon are finally ready to walk down the aisle. There’s just one small problem.

A ghost from Lucas’s past shows up days before the wedding, desperate for help. Against his better judgement, Lucas and his best friend, Ashton Frost, plan a fast trip back to the one place they swore they’d never go: their hometown in Oklahoma. But the danger is worse than they expected.

Now, they’re in a race to track down a killer, keep a young girl safe, and get Lucas back in time to say, “I do.”

About the Author

Rinda Elliott loves unusual stories and credits growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept them amused, especially in some of the stranger places. For years, she tried to separate her darker side with her humorous and romantic one. She published short fiction, but things really started happening when she gave in and mixed it up. When not lost in fiction, she loves making wine, collecting music, gaming and spending time with her husband and two children. She is the author of the Beri O’Dell urban fantasy series, the YA Sister of Fate Trilogy with Harlequin Teen, and the paranormal romance Brothers Bernaux Trilogy. She also writes erotic fiction as Dani Worth. She can be found at and her Dani Worth blog.

Jocelynn Drake Love comes in many varied forms. There is the love of family, love of country, and love of chocolate. But for Jocelynn Drake, one truly treasured love is the love of a good story. This former Kentucky girl spends the majority of her time lost in the strong embrace of a good book. When she’s not hammering away at her keyboard, frowning at her monitor, or curled up with a book, she can usually be found cuddling with her cat Demona, walking her dog Max, or flinging curses at the TV while playing a video game. Outside of books, cats, and video games, she is completely enamored of Bruce Wayne, Ezio Auditore, travel, tattoos, explosions, fast cars, and Anthony Bourdain (but only when he’s feeling really cranky). She is the author of the urban fantasy series: The Dark Days series and the Asylum Tales. She also occasionally writes as Joy Douglass when she’s in the mood for a little historical romance. This book was FANTASTIC. It was just like old times – sexiness right from the first page, action, humor – everything I love about these two authors’ books was here in abundance. I hadn’t realized how much I MISSED these guys until reading this. The love they have for each other, for their brothers as well as for their lovers, shines through everything they do. No matter what life throws at them, they have each other’s backs.

I won’t go into ANY plot details at all, but it was a worthy addition to the series, and one I will definitely be revisiting. (And the ending left me all happy sappy mushy with a huge grin on my face.)

WOW WOW WOW Another 5 star addition to an amazing series by these 2 brilliant minds. Let’s just say this book starts off with a huge BANG and knowing both of these ladies, this could mean a multitude of things. I’ll let you read it and find out on your own. 😉 I absolutely loved and devoured this book!!! ❤ I was literally reading it during physical therapy as I couldn’t put it down. Just when you think, how can they top the last book, THEY TOTALLY DO, and for that I’m forever grateful. These boys, and their ever growing ragtag family, all hold a very special place in my heart. I’m not going to give anything away other than to say this book has it all. The feels are off the charts, and the banter is once again fantastic!! So much love, heat, laughter, sadness, suspense, excitement, tears, happiness and joy. The ending was simply beautiful, and the surprise at the very end had me literally jumping off my couch yelling YES!! LOL I’m pretty sure I scared the crap out of my dogs 😂 Big, squishy hugs to you both for always making me feel so much when I read your books!!! 😘

I confess that about 5% into this book I thought I wasn’t going to like it much. Thankfully I was proven very wrong and ended up loving everything about this book. This team of authors never cease to amaze me. I adore the way their characters love, respect, and cherish each other. I never know where the story is going or what is going to happen. The storytelling is so intricate and yet somehow all the ends are always tied up in the end. I end every one of their books in awe of their skill and wanting to meet them and see their process. This writing duo is a match made in heaven.

And squeeeeee! I cannot wait for another Snow and Jude book. They are my favorite, favorite, favorites ever.

I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. I also purchased a copy of the book on my own.
